Joe Brandenburg is a 2008 SS/P with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Waconia, Minnesota, who attends Waconia High School. Brandenburg has a young body with projection. He shows good speed in the sixty (6.95) and quickness on the bases and in the field. Defensively he has quick feet in the middle of the diamond showing range to both sides. Brandenburg's hands work and he has the ability to make the routine play. Also shows body control coming in on slow rollers. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance. Brandenburg has a simple swing and makes solid line drive contact. Shows bat head skills, and stays inside the ball hitting to all fields. He shows strike zone awareness and doesn't swing at bad pitches. Once on the bases he has good speed. Brandenburg has upside to his game.
