LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Adelman is a slender and projectable 6-2 junior pitcher from Florida who we think should stay as equally serious about his future as a hitter as his future as a pitcher. On the mound, Adelman throws from a low ¾’s release point and gets good life on a 76-79 mph fastball. His 70-72 mph curveball is hard and sharp at times and he shows a feel for his 69 mph change up. Adelman also fields his position well and shows his athleticism. Despite his present sub 80 mph velocity, he’s a young left hander to keep an eye on because he’s a great bet to improve. At the plate, Adelman hits with an aggressive pull type of approach and shows good bat speed and some really nice power potential. His hips really are quick and tight. He scalded some balls down the right field line and he’s just going to hit the ball harder as he gets stronger. One of the PG scouts noted he’s going to undress some first baseman with his pull approach”. Good follow with a potentially bright future on either side of the ball if you have some patience!
