Alex Mann is a 2008 3B/C/OF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Palmdale, California, who attends Highland High School. Mann has a lean and projectable frame. Defensively he has soft hands at the hot corner. He squares up well getting in position to make plays. Mann also shows body control on slow rollers, and his throws are accurate at 79 mph. At the plate he hit from a square stance with an average base and a simple approach. He loads his hands well getting them in the proper hitting position. Mann has a line drive swing, and he stays inside the ball with the ability to hit to all fields. He takes an aggressive swing, and he consistently centers the ball. Once on the bases he runs well showing instincts, and he is aggressive looking to take the extra base.
