2006 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Brandon Shelton is a 2008 MIF/3B from Great Bridge HS in Chesapeake, VA with a 6'1", 170 lb. frame. Brandon has a lean athletic build and showed off good speed running a 7.13 60-yard dash. At the plate Brandon showed good projection with good present bat speed and good hands. he showed consistent line-drive contact but will need to shorten his swing up some. In the field Brandon has polished actions with solid range. He showed a very easy arm action and looks like he could throw harder than what he did during the workout. Brandon has a good feel for the game and should attract the attention of many mid to high-level colleges in the next year.
