Justin Rahm is a 2007 OF/IF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Sugar Hill GA, who attends North Gwinnett HS. He has a live, slender body and quick, short actions in all areas on the field. Rahm ran the 60 in 7.25 but has very good first step quickness. He played both outfield and infield during the event and looked more comfortable in the outfield. Rahm got good jumps on the ball and made one excellent diving catch in centerfield. He shows solid arm strength that is helped by a quick release and short arm stroke. His throws were accurate from both the outfield and infield. In the infield Rahm's actions tended to be a bit tentative, maybe a sign that he hasn't played there much. Offensively, Rahm has s a short line drive swing with good balance and solid middle of the field contact. He's quiet in his approach and repeats his swing well. He did have the quickness to turn on the ball a couple of times. He looks like a high average type hitter who can move the ball around the field and get the ball into the gaps occasionally. Rahm is a solid all around player with a variety of skills and he plays hard. He's also a good student.
