Neumann is a 6-0, 190 lb catcher from Virginia with a quick, strong lower half. He was very good at shifting and blocking balls. Neumann showed good arm strength during drills at 74 mph and had a best pop time of 2.12. He has the arm strength for sub 2.00 pop times but needs to quicken his release. Neumann has a good looking swing at the plate, with a nice rock back load and good timing and extension through the ball. He showed his power potential during batting practice and was right on a number of balls during the games as well. He looks like a solid young hitter who will keep improving if he keeps working on staying short and fast to the ball. We liked Neumann's approach to the game in general, he was a hustling, confident player who performed to his abilities. He should make a solid all around catcher at the next level.
