2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Eric Dobin is a 2007 MIF/OF with a 6'0'', 157 lb. frame from Dix Hills, NY who attends Half Hollow Hills West HS. Eric has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and showed very good speed at the showcase. (6.84) At the plate Eric attacks the ball with quick hands and a balanced approach. He is a solid line-drive hitter that makes consistent quality contact at the plate. In the field Eric best projects as a second baseman. He has great speed and range but arm strength is a limited as of right now. Eric is a player that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
