Chilcoat is a slender 6-1, 160 lb senior right handed pitcher from Maryland. He pitches from a side arm release point and will sometimes drop even lower with a long sweeping arm action. Chilcoat's fastball was 79-81 mph and pretty straight for his release point. With his build and arm looseness it looks like he might throw harder in the future, even from this release point. Chilcoat's varied the speed and break on his curveball between 66 and 74 mph. He can be an effective specialty reliever with this pitching style and could be really intimidating if he picked up a few ticks on his velocity.
