2013 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Manuel Del Toro is a 2014 LHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Toa Baya, PR. Broad shouldered build, good present strength, long arms, has some projection physically. Extremely long arm action, loose and flowing, extended 3/4's slot, shows the ball through delivery. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, will open early and pitch uphill with his fastball at times, good run and sink when he's on top and pitching down in the zone. Good spin on curveball when on top as well, late break with some bite to it, curveball got bigger as he got into pitch count. Rare change up. Interesting athlete who flashed next level ability but who will need more consistency. Named to the Caribbean Showcase Top Prospect team.
