Brad Cooley is a 2017 RHP/3B, 2B with a 5-9 138 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Douglas County. Compact frame, slender young build with plenty of room to add strength at physical maturity. Primary righthanded pitcher, works to a high three-quarter's arm slot. Stays tall on the backside, repeats delivery well. Fastball up to 78 mph, comes out nicely from a compact arm-action. Also flashed a big breaking curveball with depth, showed solid feel for locating the offering. Also plays the infield, surrounds the ball nicely and stays low to the ground and has quick release. Right handed hitter, open stance with wide base. Small leg lift trigger, hands at shoulder, can open frontside a bit early. Level swing plane, some solid contact on the ground. Very good student.
