Heath Roberts is a 2016 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Waukesha, WI who is Home Schooled. Medium frame with good present strength and athletic build. Big leg kick mechanics on the mound with long arm action and slight stab in back. Somewhat of a slinger with small scapular load. Throws from high 3/4-near overtop slot, gets on top of baseball well and gets downhill. Deceptive delivery with some effort. Fastball worked in the mid-high 70's, topping out at 79 MPH. Showed ability to command straight fastball down in the zone and to both sides of the plate pretty well. Throws lots of strikes with fastball as well as curveball, which showed 11/5 shape and good depth. Hits from open, slightly crouched stance with high back elbow. Tight hips and some stiffness throughout swing, showed ability to be on time and make contact up the middle at times. Fielded well with deliberate actions during defensive drills, throwing 78 MPH across the infield. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Good student.
