Cameron Pope is a 2014 3B/RHP, SS with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lawrence, KS who attends Lawrence Free State. Pope has a large frame with a strong build. Defensively he has a good 3B actions and has good glove actions. Pope has arm strength up to 77 MPH and makes accurate throws. His feet work well and he showed solid body control on the slow roller. At the plate, Pope starts with a slightly open stance and uses a short squat load to start his swing. He has an aggressive approach and showed good bat speed. Pope has a flat path to the baseball and he showed good pop. He has home run strength in his swing and showed more power potential. Pope has good hitting tools to improve with. Good student.
