Scott Stephens is a 2014 3B/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands HS. Strong physical look, fairly mature. Right handed hitter, deep load, good direct hand path to the ball, simple balanced hitting approach, has some bat speed, looks for ball middle out and can drive it hard to right centerfield, keeps hands back well on off speed, shows hitting instincts, can get tied up on inside velocity occasionally. 7.59 runner, some lateral agility, long arm action with some carry on throws, will have to soften hands at the next level. Offense will carry at present. Very good student.
