Braden Shields is a 2015 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Dripping Springs. Shields has a long lean build with room to fill out. Hits from a square stance with wide base. short compact swing plane. Line drive path with lift. Good extension. Mid field contact and gets barrel out front. Defensively, long arm action. low release, ball comes out clean. Takes good routes to ball. Also pitched, Medium arm action to 3/4 arm slot. Fastball has arm side run. Mixes in sinking change up and 11/5 curveball. Has some crossfire in his delivery that creates deception.
