Cade Knox is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Brophy HS. Nice strong athletic build for his age. Slow paced leg raise delivery, stays directional well, simple repeatable mechanics, high 3/4's to over the top release, throws backside over in delivery. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, good run and sink down in the zone with downhill angle. Soft curveball that improved with more usage, tends to drop elbow on release. Nice straight change up with good arm speed. Threw strikes with all pitches and consistently worked ahead in counts. Right handed hitter, long swing with big shift into contact, handles the barrel well and makes contact, can improve if he can shorten up and use his strength. 7.25 runner, good release and footwork in the outfield, accurate throws. Good student.
