Santino Ycaza is a 2016 C/3B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Mastic, NY who attends Brentwood. Smaller, very young build. Has a lot of room to mature and get stronger. Has some speed, ran a 7.11 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing from behind the plate, looks a little stiff at times. But, makes accurate throws and gets rid of the ball quickly. Shows the tools to catch. Bats right-handed, uses a toe tap trigger and has a line drive approach. Hits the ball to the opposite field. Shows some bat speed, and has quick hands. Sound approach for a young player. Good student.
