Matt Mandes is a 2014 2B/SS with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Ivyland, PA who attends Archbishop Wood HS. Medium frame with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance. Quiet pre-pitch with a solid middle to opposite field approach. Showed decent bat speed and good barrel control. Made hard contact in games. On the infield he possesses solid foot work and soft quick hands. He also has a clean transfer and gets rid of the ball quickly. Ran a 7.28 60 yd dash. Solid all around player. Very good student.
