Samuel Bailey is a 2016 1B/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Nederland, TX who attends Nederland HS. Has a large frame with a big build, sign of present strength in body. From the infield, smooth footwork and sets himself up to make accurate throws to target bases. Fields the ball out in front, full arm action on throws. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set and high back elbow. Arms extend back on load with a back knee trigger activating the swing. Takes aggressive swings in his middle of the field approach with raw strength and power. Will see even harder contact as his bat speed continues to develop. Good student.
