Ian Mayers is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Arden, NC who attends Christ School. Mayers has a solid athletic build. Hits from a square stance with low hand set. Loose hands. Line drive swing plane and shows bat speed. Defensively, good carry with life on ball. Athletic actions in OF, also pitches. High 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. Good extension out front with a quick arm. Ball gets on hitters quick as he does a good job hiding ball. Mixes in a 11/5 curveball. Good upside. Outstanding Student.
