2013 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Chris Watkins is a 2013 C/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Oshawa, ON who attends Monseigneur Paul Dwyer HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Right handed hitter, open wide stance, simple swing mechanics, stays short and direct to the ball, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields, contact approach and handles the barrel well, could use lower half more for additional bat speed/power. Hard working catcher and willing blocker, accurate throws, will have to improve lower half quickness and overall flexibility defensively. Good student.
