Trent Herzog is a 2015 C with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Pembroke Pines Charter HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, simple swing mechanics with a low hand start, has some pull and lift in his approach, shows bat speed and can drive the ball, just missed a home run off the top of the left field fence in the games. Shows athleticism behind the plate, good quickness shifting and throwing, compact release with good arm strength and accurate throws, 1.97 best pop time, can improve footwork on throws and on pop ups. Nice balance of offensive potential and defensive athleticism at a premium position. Good student.
