Carlos Farias is a 2015 C/3B, 1B with a 6-0 203 lb. frame from Yorktown Heights, NY who attends Archbishop Stepinac. Large, athletic frame with a strong, mature build. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, tight short arm action, accurate to the bag, quick transfer, receives out front, stays tall at release, pop time will improve with incorporation of lower half into throws. Throws from an over the top arm slot from the infield, throws carry across with accuracy and arm strength. Hit right-handed, starts from a spread stance with a quiet hand set and a toe tap trigger. Strength plays in swing, pull side approach, hard contact off the barrel. Shows hit tools to build off of and nice power potential.
