Matthew Williams is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs. Has a large projectable frame an athletic build with room to get stronger. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose quick arm actions, fastball has natural cut action to it with good command. His curveball has a hard sharp late break to it which keeps the hitters off balance. Great arm strength from the outfield with good carry, gets good reads in the outfield which allows him to run balls down in the gap and his throws are accurate. Starts with a squared stance at the plate with good extension, an aggressive swing plane and hits the ball to all fields. Is an intriguing prospect to continue following.
