Calvin Holland is a 2015 3B/OF, RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Hopkinton, MA who attends Hopkinton. Large frame with a young build and room to fill out. Moves feet well in the infield, shows fluid defensive actions and fields the ball cleanly out front. Loose, whippy arm across the infield with accuracy. Big crow hop on throws from outfield, keeps throws low, and works through ball well with follow through. Throws carry and are online. Right handed pitcher who throws from a three quarter arm slot and gets occasional arm side run on fastball which topped at 75 mph. Long arm action in back, has feel for 3 pitches and pounds strike zone. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with short break and slider has 10/4 break at 69 mph. Right handed batter with a middle of the field approach. Quick bat with strength in swing and line drive contact. Barrel up ball consistently and has lift, staying inside ball well. Good student.
