Cross Austin is a 2016 1B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends The John Cooper HS. Has a large frame and a big strong build with clear sign of present strength in build. Good size for a first baseman. From the infield, fields the ball out in front with short steps to the baseball. Full arm action on throws with a small crow hop, accurate throws to bases with carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base and a hand set close to the body. Leg lift trigger into load. Aggressive swings at the plate with good strength off the barrel. Generates natural lift at the point of contact. Excellent student.
