Alex Bandage is a 2008 right handed pitcher/third baseman from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a 5'11", 185 lb. frame. Bandage's arm works well on the mound. He has a long arm on the backside with a slight head jerk at release, but overall his mechanics are good. His fastball topped out at 71 mph, and he showed solid control. Offensively he has above average bat speed with good balance in his swing. Bandage has a line drive swing plane with power potential. He opens up his front side a little early, but has a nice swing and had some good hits to the pull side. Bandage has good footwork defensively with good range and hands. Bandage has a good package of tools that should continue to improve as he adds strength. He will be a good two way player with a good bat.
