Austin Takvor is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Roslyn, NY who attends St Mary`s. Medium frame, thick build with developing strength. Hits from a closed stance, short to the ball, contact oriented approach, long finish, potential to develop power as he matures physically, some present strength at contact with more to come. Short arm action from a high slot on throws, solid footwork defensively. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action, big leg kick and back turn windup with coiled mechanics creating deception to delivery and allows him to hide the ball well. Very good student.
