Tyler Guillen is a 2006 outfielder from Spring, TX, with a small slender build that shows lower body strength at 5-8, 165 lbs. Defensively, he showed the ability to track the ball well and got in decent position to throw with his feet. He has a short arm stroke that produced online and accurate throws. He hits from a square stance with a wide spread base. He has a no load and no stride approach and his swing lacked an apparent trigger. His swing was mainly generated by his wrists, hands and upper body and had very little lower body involvement. He flashed good bat speed and balls came off his bat with decent pop. On the bases he showed good instincts and overall baseball IQ. With gains in strength and maturity he will be a high level college prospect. Tyler is a very good student.
