2012 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Kyle Garcia is a 2013 LHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Carol Stream, IL who attends Bartlett HS. Medium to slender build, minimal present strength. Low hand delivery, extended 3/4's release point, loose arm, repeats well and works quickly. Throws nothing straight, fastball either cuts hard or gets good sink, cutter is primary pitch with consistent life. Big downer 12/6 curveball is effective and consistent, some feel for sinking change up. No two pitches are alike or are thrown back to back. Can pitch at next level with added velocity due to feel and movement but must get stronger. Right handed hitter, good contact skills from wide base, stays balanced, consistent swing and contact, good hands. Good student.
