Bryan Reid is a 2013 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Brentwood, CA who attends Liberty HS. Tall well proportioned build with very good present strength. Tall leg raise delivery, stays on line and balanced, high 3/4's release point, throws downhill, repeats mechanics well, compact arm action, lacks ideal extension front and back. Very steady upper 70's fastball, ball gets on hitters quickly, spots fastball with intent, throws heavy ball with sink. Short curveball with rolling break, good shape but limited depth. Ideal release point/arm action for split finger change. Left handed hitter, tall open approach, pull/lift approach, occasional hard contact when the barrel gets out. Has the potential to improve with more velocity, development of change up. Very good student.
