Sam Smith is a 2012 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Henry Clay. Quick athletic middle infielder. Solid arm strength with good carry on throws, good infield actions. Good speed on bases, ran well in 60 yard dash also (6.92). Line drive stroke at the plate, decent hand speed, uses middle of field. Throws hands well, hits from a low crouch with high hand set, ball will carry off bat harder with physical maturity. Up to 80 on the mound, long arm circle in back, nice shape and spin on 11-5 curveball. Very good student.
