Darius Sewell is a 2015 SS/3B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Lakeside HS. Large framed young athlete, long and slender and very projectable physically. Did not run sixty but ran 6.98 in August, moves well on defense and shows athleticism, good hands at the ball, can improve footwork throwing, arm strength still developing, can see him outgrowing the middle infield in the future. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, short quick swing with bat speed, keeps hands in tight, could get better separation, ball comes off the barrel hard, solid pull contact, very projectable offensively and shows flashes now. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
