Ryan Koval is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Cold Spring, NY who attends Haldane. Lean athletic build with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Slow tempo delivery, medium stride, stays balanced. Throws from 3/4 slot with tight release, Online and gets good downhill plane. Shows fastball early, curveball with big shape and 11/5 break, able to throw strikes. Long arm action on the infield, gets to balls, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, stays inside the ball and uses lots of hands in swing. Long to the ball with some extension. Good student.
