Dylan Busby is a 2014 SS/OF/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Sarasota HS. Tall slender young build, projects well physically. 6.72 runner, sound footwork in the middle infield, good exchange and release, long arm action with very good arm strength when set, can soften his hands at the ball, quick release stands out, also plays the outfield. Switch hit in batting practice, batted only right handed in games. Spread bent knee stance right handed, short hand path to the ball, swings hard, some lift out front, gets the ball in the air, power approach, balls carry well when squared, projects with additional strength. Left handed swing was pretty solid, good line drive plane with some hand quickness, pull approach, has potential to develop from that side. Should continue to improve in all areas. Good student, verbal commitment to Central Florida.
