James Higginbotham is a 2015 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Gainesville, GA who attends Kings Ridge Christian HS. Slender athletic build, young look. Low effort delivery, smooth easy arm action, 3/4's arm slot, could use lower half more effectively. Upper 70's fastball, very good tailing life at times, occasionally has trouble getting fastball to glove side with release and movement. Curveball shows good spin and 2 plane break. Projects well in all areas. Left handed hitter, open stance, sound hitting mechanics, pull approach. Good outfield actions, sound footwork, good arm strength for his age.
