James Stroud is a 2013 OF/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Bishop Sullivan HS. Medium athletic build. High level hitting tools, good bat speed, quick hands, swing creates good bat whip, has solid present power. Good all around tools, projects for power, good present hitter, runs well, strong arm, quality defender. Good defensive actions, online throws with carry, attacks the baseball, threw 86 during workouts. Also pitched, high 3/4 arm slot, solid arm speed, up to 84 with fastball, 70 mph curve. Excellent student, interesting prospect.
