Stahl is a 5'9" 170 pound 2006 infielder from Vista, California who attends Rancho Buena Vista High School. He has a medium frame and a broad strong build with some room to fill out. He hits with bent knees and a stiff upper half and uses no stride at all. He has a two piece swing and is very rigid. It looks as though he is a line drive spray hitter with some decent bat speed and some developing power. Sam is an average fielder but is a little rigid. He showed good arm strength by throwing 81 mph during the workout. He also showed good speed by running a 7.25 in the 60 and a 5.05 down to first base during the game. Stahl is a good student as well with his 3.4 grade point average and scoring an 1860 on his SAT.
