Alonzo De La Garza is a 2012 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends Charter Oak. Lean build that projects well. Throw from low 3/4 slot with solid arm strength. Effort in delivery, throws strikes, and repeats delivery well. Curveball has 1/7 sweeping break, changeup is solid 3rd pitch. Long arm action from outfield, arm works well with quickness, ball has carry. At plate, stays back on ball, has whippy bat speed and looks to pull the ball. Showed solid approach to all fields during games. Good student.
