David Gonzalez is a 2012 RHP with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Gainesville, GA who attends Gainesville HS. Medium frame, good present strength. Hand drop delivery, compact arm action, tight 3/4's release, throws downhill, some effort. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 92 mph, late fastball life, cuts at times, sinks/runs at others. Sharp spin on both curveball and slider, two separate pitches, both pitches bite with tilt, slider is a potential plus pitch. Developing feel for a change up. Limited command this outing, very impressive arm strength and ability to spin the ball, not far away from being a very premium guy. Good student.
