Jonathan Byrd is a 2011 LHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Monroe, LA who attends River Oaks HS. Slender build, developing strength. Cross body delivery, medium compact arm action, arm works well coming through, repeats delivery and 3/4's release point well. Low 80's fastball to 82 mph, will cut fastball often, primary fastball pitchers, tends to be on side of flat slurve type breaking ball, will flash good break at times. Contact hitter, hits to all fields, tends to pull off at contact. 6.93 runner. Good student.
