Paul Menendez is a 2013 1B/OF/RHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Coral Gables, FL who attends Ronald Reagan HS. Big, athletic build with strength in lower half. Solid fielding actions at 1B with big windup to throw. Long arm action with carry on throws and good accuracy. Throws right, bats left. Straight stance with very little pre-swing movement. Good balance at the plate with plate coverage. Showed pop in bat and ball carried well with good sound. Looks to pull the ball. Pitches from high 3/4 slot. Extended, long arm action. Throws on downhill plane with minimal effort. Showed ability to drop to low 3/4 slot. Big breaking 11/5 curveball was off speed pitch. Good student.
