Kirby Snead is a 2013 LHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Alachua, FL who attends Santa Fe HS. Slender young build, room to get stronger. Slow paced rotational delivery, long loose arm action, low 3/4's release point to almost side arm, has deception. Mid 80's fastball, touched 88 mph, good sink and run, big sweeping curveball with good bite, nice change up with arm speed and lots of life, has an idea how to pitch, will be especially tough on left handed hitters. Projects well physically. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
