Chase Matheson is a 2011 OF/2B with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from McHenry, IL who attends McHenry West HS. Medium athletic build, lean, sloped shoulders. Wide stance, low crouch, high hand set, aggressive approach, consistent swing path with good finish, lift in swing, good extension, good hitting tools to build on. Aggressive fielding approach, quick to ball, fields coming through, shorter arm action, quick transfer and release, accurate throws to bases, arm strength is coming. Good student.
