Hatcher is a 5-8, 150 lb junior outfielder from Louisiana. He has very good speed underway and ran the 60 in 6.91. He has quickness and athletic balance in all his actions. Hatcher creates suprisingly quick bat speed for his size and age and showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He stays back on the ball well with a rocker type load and will hit it hard to right field. Hatcher is also a good defensive outfielder with range and arm strength. He throws 81 mph off the mound, too. College coaches should be very interesting in Hatcher; he's the kind of overall talent that can thrive in the right program. He's also a hustling type player with good instincts and baseball smarts, which should give him a chance to play right away. Good student. Very good college prospect.
