John Croshaw is a 2005 RHP/OF from Jupiter, FL, with a medium build at 6'1". He throws from a mid ¾’s release point that creates some running action on his 78-80 mph fastball. Croshaw lands on a stiff front leg with below average balance and this is probably keeping him from throwing harder and with better command. He did top out at 82 mph. Croshaw’s best secondary pitch was a 63-65 mph change up that had nice fade to it. Croshaw lowers his arm angle to a low ¾’s on the pitch, which tips it, but it has nice deception. He also throws a 68-70 mph slurve with a sweeping break. Croshaw did a good job with the bat during games as well, picking up a couple of base hits. A good student, he needs to be followed.
