Jason Holmes is a 2005 middle infielder from Mesquite, TX, who had some of the quickest hands we saw in Waco. This kid is a confident defensive player with actions and quickness in both his hands and feet. Holmes' turns on double plays were excellent. His 60 time wasn’t very good, but Holmes plays faster in the field. While he shows some bat head skills, Holmes' hitting approach limits him at this point. He has a very early leg lift trigger and he doesn't get a lot out of his lower half in his swing. He can definitely improve in this part of his game and his defense plays large at the next level.
