Patrick Kraft is a 2008 RHP/1B/3B with a 6'4'', 212 lb. frame from New Palestine, IN who attends New Palestine HS. He has a large framed build with some present strength. Kraft has a slow paced delivery with a pause at the top and some backward lean before he starts to come forward. His arm action is short and compact and he hides the ball pretty well. Kraft's fastball was 79-81 mph and touched 82 and was up in the zone often. His breaking ball was between 65 and 70 mph and had a shorter slider type break at the higher speeds and a bigger break at the lower speeds. He had confidence in a low 70's change up. Kraft had good feel for his off speed pitches and worked the ball around. He did show too much concern for baserunners. Kraft plays first base when not pitching and showed some raw bat speed and gap power from a spread stance.
