Casey Hall is a 2008 RHP/MIF/1B with a 6'4'', 160 lb. frame from Grass Lake, MI who attends Grass Lake HS. He has a good pitcher's frame with some present strength and the potential for more in the future. Hall has a leg raise delivery with a quick move from his balance point to release. His arm action is quick and abbreviated to keep up with his body. Hall's fastball was very consistent at 84-86 mph with some sinking action down in the zone. He was consistent in his fastball release and quality but very inconsistent in his off speed pitches because of his rushed delivery. His breaking ball had occasional good spin in the 68-70 mph range but rarely at higher velocities. He slowed his body on all off speed pitches. Hall is a good athlete who showed some hitting ability with power potential, especially if he learns to correct the same hitting faults as he does pitching; drifting quickly out front and rushing. With good coaching Hall could really improve. He is also a good student.
