Grant Youngblood is a 2007 OF/1B with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Marietta GA, who attends Lassiter. Grant has an atheltic body with a strong build. Grant has smooth athletic actions in the outfield and moves well to the ball. He has good good arm strength with very good carry on his throws. At the plate, Grant starts with an opens stance and uses a knee lift trigger to get closed before he swings. He has a short swing with bat speed. Grant has pretty good balance through his swing and has good leverage on contact. He has present power with more power potential on the way. Grant has good hand strength in his swing that help him fight off pitches and get the bat through the zone. Grant was named to the Top Prospect Team and is an excellent student.
