Coly Hokett is a 2008 MIF with a 5'8'', 145 lb. frame from Artesia, NM who attends Artesia HS. Hokett has a short, lean frame and is a fast runner (6.70) with very good first step quickness. On the bases he uses his speed, and is an aggressive runner who will steal bases. At the plate he has a short quick swing that creates solid contact. He has deceptive strength, and has bat head skills. Defensively he has good actions with nice body control. He has a quick release and is aggressive coming in on the ball. Nice all around player. Coly is also an excellent student.
